Bird Hospitality has tied up with Thailand's foremost name in the hospitality industry, Dusit Thani Group, to bring the highly acclaimed Dusit brand to India. Bird Group plans to launch five hotels and resorts in India. In the first phase of development, Bird Group's flagship luxury hotel, under the brand name of Dusit Devarana is likely to open in New Delhi by third quarter of 2012. Besides this, Dusit D2 in New Delhi, Dusit Devarana in Jaipur and Rishikesh and Dusit Thani in Goa are all under various stages of development. These properties will come up in key business and leisure locations. Combining tradition with modern amenities, each hotel and resort will be intelligently designed by a sense of harmony to bring unique experience to our guests.
Bird Hospitality Services brings the first-of-a-kind live entertainment concept to the country, with the opening of Delhi-NCR's first natural ice-skating rink iSKATE. Spread over 15,000 sq ft, activities include Ice skating with state-of-the-art, sound and light, private karaoke rooms, specialty food and beverage counters and gourmet ice cream parlour. Expansion plans include opening of similar rinks and cafés across ten locations in the next five years; the second rink to be launched at Ambience Mall (Vasant Kunj, New Delhi) by December 2012.
Bird Group has also ventured into the International market through acquisition of The Royal Park Hotel which is an intimate and luxury boutique hotel in London. This beautiful hotel comprises three carefully restored mid-19th century townhouses. It has 48 elegantly furnished rooms and suites, ideally located on Westbourne Terrace, overlooking the Hyde Park.
